I think the eyes are the soul of the artwork, and the rest (though I pay it a lot of attention) is just background fuzz. I enjoy portrait work and I love the work of all the old masters (mainly Italian/Florentine).

Quirky artwork requests are fun. My background is multimedia design and I still enjoy challenges and problem solving in the process of working – from how to build in different symbolic items, to how to join photos for a joint portrait of people who live at the either side of the world. It makes my work feel like triggers to feelings and links to memories.
